Cabinets
Attractive
cabinets are constructed of heavy gauge galvanized
sheet metal which virtually eliminates rust and
corrosion. galvanized structural supports are
provided to prevent panel vibration. units are
completely factory assembled and shipped upright
ready for field installation. An optional platform
mount is available for all models. Brackets are
provided on top of all models.
Coils
All
units with 7/8" O.D. tube are furnished with
MCC's Superfin™ construction. This equilateral
pattern, staggered tube design is the ultimate in
extended surface heat transfer. Featuring fully
drawn collars in 2 through 14 FPI spacing, the fins
are self spacing and mechanically bonded to the
tubes. This design was heavily influenced by those
used in ARI listed
coils with changes to suit low temperature
conditions. Variable fin spacing is available in
multiples of the widest spacing (i.e., 1.5/3/6 or
2/4/8). These coils are available in copper or
aluminum tube versions for halocarbon refrigerants
or aluminum tube for ammonia refrigerant. Coils are
also available with a corrosion resistant coating
for use in harsh environments.
Motors
Direct
drive AMCA rated axial fans are provided. All fans
and motors are modular and can be interchanged
between unit sizes. OSHA style fan guards are on all
models. Motors are ball bearing, TEAO.
Drain
Pan
Rapid
removal of condensate is accomplished by the use of
a full sized (mounted as standard) drain pan. Drain
pans can be insulated when required.
Hot
Gas Coils
All
models are available with hot gas defrost
applications. The hot gas coil is provided with a
check valve between the hot gas pan coil and the
inlet to the evaporator coil as standard. All hot
gas defrost units feature the "No Bridge"
crossover system*.

limited changes in horsepower/RPM/fan combinations
within the parameters of the M Series catalogue. 50
HZ motors are available for all applications. All
Motors are prewired to junction boxes.

Electric
Defrost
- Electric defrost** is
available on all units. The defrost heater elements
are low watt density, large diameter stainless steel
sheathed elements inserted directly into the coil
fins. The fins have a drawn collar similar to the
tube hole. The heaters are held in place by a clip
to prevent them from creeping. The heaters have
molded silicone rubber leads and are UL listed. All
wiring is terminated in a junction box including a
termination 'stat for easy field connection.

Features
45° Fan
Turndowns
- Constructed of heavy
gauge galvanized sheet and mounted to the front of
the unit cabinet, these help direct the air for
certain types of blast freezing operations.
90° Fan
Turndowns
- Constructed of heavy
gauge galvanized sheet and mounted to the front of
the unit cabinet, these allow the standard
evaporator to be used in penthouse applications.
Extended
Legs
- Constructed of
structural steel (hot dipped galvanized) and heavy
gauge galvanized sheet, these raise the evaporator
for penthouse applications and certain other
platform mounted requirements.
Motors
- Two speed, high
efficiency, or exposion proof motors are available
on all unit sizes.
Long Throw
Nozzles
- Tapered long throw
nozzles are available to enhance the air flow. The
units with 26" fans normally throw
approximately 80', 36" fans approximately 115'
and 42" fans approximately 140'. The addition
of the long throw nozzle adds an estimated 30% to
the throw.
