1961 - Incorporated in the State of Oregon, USA as McCormack Engineering Company; a manufacturer/contractor specializing in refrigeration and conveying equipment for the Pacific Northwest's food processing industry.
-
-
1971
- The company successfully functioned in it's original capacity until purchased by REM Metals of Albany, Oregon. REM Metals ended the contracting function of MEC and expanded the manufacturing facility. This move allowed MEC to become a nationwide concern with additional representation in the industrial, commercial, and process refrigeration fields.
1980 - Adcorp, an Oregon corporation, purchased MEC and had continued it's operation as a manufacturer of refrigeration and conveying system components for shipment worldwide.
1988 - The company changed it's name
to McCormack Mfg Co., Inc. to more closely describe it's true function as a manufacturer.
1989 - MMC was purchased by a partnership of Gary
Montgomery and Tom Ressler. This partnership had left the operating structure intact except for a policy to continuously improve the manufacturing capabilities and production equipment.
This policy coupled with an ongoing research and development program has caused MMC to emerge as an innovator in the industrial refrigeration marketplace.
2002 - MMC gathered up it's technology and experience and joined
Evapco Inc. as a wholly owned subsidiary. The name was changed to McCormack Coil Co., Inc. Several product lines were
redistributed to allow a stronger focus on the increasing demand for aluminum coil
products.

- Facility and Capabilities
Our facilities are located in the southwestern part of Lake Oswego, Oregon USA and house our entire operation.
We are certified by Underwriter's Laboratories for the design and construction of refrigerant to air heat exchangers and fan-coil assemblies under UL-412 procedures.
CRN certification has also been acquired for installation
in all Canadian Providences. We manufacture some of the largest heat exchanger coils in the industry. Our current capability is 216 square feet of face area.
The fabrication facilities include high speed fin pressing and ram expanding equipment, along with a state of the art sheet metal facility with CNC support.
- To augment the well accepted "M Series" evaporator product line, we have introduced the "C,
CF, SC, D, L and R Series" evaporator lines which also have been well received.
All products incorporate the SuperFin™ high efficiency heat exchanger surface, a patented* hot gas defrost system
when used and conforms to UL and CRN requirements. Evaporators conforming to special customer applications and replacements for other manufacturers are also
available.
